Scott County Recent Arrest Reports
Start with the official Scott County Inmate Listing. That page links to a searchable roster. It also offers a report for the current date, plus reports for the six dates before it. The roster covers people now held at the Scott County Jail. It adds a limited set of recently released people. It is not a log of every police contact in Scott County. An arrest that ends in a citation may never show up. The same goes for a person moved to another custody system. It also applies to a record the law keeps sealed. The two report windows answer different questions.
| Official view | Best use | Public window | Visible photo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily Booking Report | Bookings recorded for the current date | One date, newest first | No photo column in the reviewed view |
| Searchable roster | Current custody and recent release checks | Current inmates plus the stated seven-day release scope | No photo column in the reviewed table |
| Prior daily reports | Compare recent dates | Today plus six linked prior dates | No photo column in the reviewed report |
For today's activity and upload lag, the Arrests Last 24 Hours page is the quick route. The Police Blotter takes the wider date-by-date approach. A daily report's timestamp marks its last upload, not the exact moment of each arrest.
When Scott Arrests Appear
Timing matters here. The general roster refreshes every ten minutes. Each date-specific report also carries a "Last Upload" time. One example day showed a 10:30 a.m. upload with six records. That kind of count is just a moment in time. It is not a normal daily figure or a fixed posting schedule. Booking follows transport, identification, intake, and data review. The public line often trails the actual arrest.
If a fresh name is missing, search the roster again first. Then call the records and report line if the need is urgent and proper. Court or magistrate entries can sit beside police and sheriff entries. The table tracks custody activity, not street arrests alone. Read the committing agency label together with the booking time and custody status.
Search the Scott County Jail Roster
The public roster has controls that tie a city arrest to the county jail. Agency choices include Davenport Police, Bettendorf Police, and Eldridge Police. The sheriff and Iowa State Patrol appear too. Court, work-release, and others round out the list. A committing-agency value names the agency tied to the custody entry. It does not always name whoever made the first physical arrest.
| Search field | How it helps | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Last and first name | Find a named person or narrow similar results | Spelling and multiple matches require care |
| Committing agency | Separate city, sheriff, court, and other pathways | Not always the arresting officer's agency |
| Custody status | Distinguish listed custody from a release entry | Status can change after an upload |
| Date controls | Review the likely booking day | The linked daily window is only seven days |
| A-Z browse | Check uncertain spelling | The roster is expressly not comprehensive |
Use the fields in a short sequence:
- Open the official landing page and choose the roster search.
- Enter the name, then use an A-Z link if spelling is uncertain.
- Apply the committing-agency and custody-status filters.
- Open the likely date report and compare booking and release times.
- Confirm key facts with the agency, records custodian, or court.
The roster excludes federal prisoners and detainees. The county calls it incomplete. A released entry generally rolls out of the recent window. Someone still housed can remain searchable past seven days. The Scott County sheriff lists no booking app of its own. Look-alike app results point to Scott County, Indiana, not Iowa. The official inmate-listing page shows the county's daily links and scope.
The official page keeps the county entry point distinct from unofficial indexes and broad web searches.
Where Scott County Arrests Publish
Check official channels before news sites or commercial indexes. Each source captures a different stage, and no single row answers every question.
| Channel | Official? | What it covers | Photo treatment |
|---|---|---|---|
| County roster and daily reports | Yes | Current and recent Scott County Jail activity | No visible photo column in the reviewed views |
| Sheriff or city police records | Yes | Held booking or incident records by custodian | Request availability must be confirmed |
| Iowa Courts Online | Yes | Case filings and disposition after booking | Not a mugshot service |
| KWQC and North Scott Press | No, news | Selected current stories or weekly archived reports | Only when editorially included |
| RecentlyBooked, Busted Newspaper, Arrests.org, Mugshots.com | No | County-local indexes that may be incomplete or stale | May display an image from earlier source material |
Treat third-party sites as tips only. They hold no authority on identity or custody. Mugshots.zone lists no verified Scott County, Iowa section, and an Indiana or Missouri page should never be swapped in. For live regional crime coverage, the KWQC Crime section works best. The North Scott Press archive serves as a weekly and historical path.
Scott County Arrests by City
Municipal police make or document many local arrests. Scott County Jail creates the shared custody entry once a person is booked there. The agency filter bridges the two. It separates a city police entry from a sheriff, court, or state entry without assuming every police contact reached the jail.
- Davenport Recent Arrests covers Davenport Police records and the county-jail handoff.
- Bettendorf Recent Arrests explains the Bettendorf Police route and county booking check.
- Eldridge Recent Arrests connects Eldridge Police, the county roster, and the weekly North Scott Press archive.
No city site in Scott County publishes its own complete daily booking blotter. For a police incident report, contact that city department directly. For current county custody, use the Scott County roster.
Fields in Scott Booking Records
A booking record is built during jail intake. It stands apart from the police incident report, the court case, an Iowa DCI history, and an Iowa DOC profile. The public daily report carries the fields below. It includes no public booking-number or bond column, so assume neither is available.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | Last, first, and middle name in the daily view |
| Age | An identity aid that must be checked with other facts |
| Booking date and time | Jail intake time, not necessarily the first police contact |
| Release date and time | Departure from the displayed jail custody when supplied |
| Custody status | “In Custody” or a release entry at the latest upload |
| Committing agency | The agency or court path tied to the booking |
| Charges | Charges recorded for reference, not a conviction |
Bond and court dates live in the agency or court record when offered. A release time does not end a case. Continued custody, in turn, says nothing about why bond sits unposted or what a judge will decide.
| Record state | Where to look | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Just booked | Current daily report, after its next upload | Intake was entered; charges remain charges |
| In custody | Searchable Scott County roster | The person was listed as housed at the last refresh |
| Recently released | Roster and prior daily links | The jail custody ended, but the court case may continue |
| Past the public window | Records request and court docket | The online listing rolled off, not necessarily the underlying record |
Scott County Booking Photos
The public Scott County jail roster shows no photo column. The table lists bookings without faces. Yet the county's 2024 jail-management request for proposals treats mugshots as system data and calls for public-listing updates at least every ten minutes. Both facts can hold at once. The jail keeps a booking image internally while the public page simply renders none.
Want a booking photo? Ask the Scott County Sheriff's Office records custodian whether the one you need is releasable under Iowa Chapter 22. Include the full name, booking date, and committing agency. Skip unofficial sites. A face on a third-party page is not the official booking photo. The official roster result shows the table's design and its missing photo column:
Roster layouts change as the county updates its inmate display.
Request a Scott County Arrest Record
The Sheriff's records and reports page gives 563-326-8719. The office sits in the courthouse at 400 W. 4th St., Davenport, IA 52801-1104, with administrative hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Request accident or incident reports by mail or in person. Published report charges set no booking-photo fee.
- Identify the exact existing record, person, date, and committing agency.
- Ask the sheriff for a county booking record or photo, or the city police for its incident report.
- Use the county's fillable request form and send it to FOIA@scottcountyiowa.gov when the county route fits.
- Request a fee estimate and the legal basis for any redaction or withholding.
- Check the court docket separately for the final case result.
The county form promises a response within ten business days of receipt. That answer may do several things. It can acknowledge the request, seek clarification, estimate fees, cite an exception, or produce records, and it does not guarantee delivery of every file inside that window.

Iowa Law on Scott Records
Iowa Code Chapter 22 sets the main public-records framework. It allows inspection and copying of government records. Exceptions apply, and the law never forces an office to build a new report or do research for you. Chapter 692 covers criminal-history and identification data, and neither law matches the jail roster's brief online display window.
Iowa sets no single statute ordering every agency and private publisher to remove mugshots on one fixed schedule. Chapter 901C handles eligible expungement instead. The official court forms address acquittals, dismissals, and eligible misdemeanor cases under separate requirements. Juvenile, sealed, investigative, and victim data may be withheld or redacted.
Correcting Scott County Information
Corrections start at the source. Ask the sheriff to fix a county booking entry. Ask the police department for its report. Ask the clerk for a court record. If Chapter 901C fits, file the Iowa Judicial Branch expungement forms. Keep the signed order and the exact source URL.
Private sites offer free, documentation-based correction routes for certain outcomes. RecentlyBooked, Busted Newspaper, and Mugshots.com each publish one, with different terms. Arrests.org lists no clear free Scott County path. Try official correction and court relief first. Payment is rarely required, and a paid promise deserves doubt. Taking down a source page and refreshing a search result remain two separate jobs.
The official Iowa post-disposition forms page is the court-controlled starting point:
Courts fix the official record only; each data site still needs its own written free request.
Scott County Arrest Warrants
The sheriff's warrant search works as both the county's warrant check and its wanted-list source. Active warrants span eighteen months back to seven days ago. Disposed or served warrants show for thirty days. This bounded page is not a full archive. Filters cover recent records, month, status date, last name, age, warrant, charge, and date range. Recent-jail filtering, status, and sort order are options too.
A detail page may list name, warrant number and date, holding agency, and status. Charges, bond, and physical description may appear too. It may also say "No Image Available." Never approach or try to detain a listed person. Tips belong with the agency or Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities. Anyone named on a warrant should speak with counsel. They can also contact the issuing court about a safe resolution. The official warrant portal shows its search controls:
Check the portal's date limits and safety warning too.
Scott County Court Sequence
After booking in Scott County, people facing state charges go before a judge fast. The sheriff's Initial Appearance page puts that first appearance within 24 hours of arrest. Weekday hearings start at 8:30 a.m. Weekends and state holidays start at 8:00 a.m. Those sessions run by Zoom, with viewing instructions posted alongside the schedule. From there, the case belongs to the courts. Iowa Courts Online carries the public filings, hearing dates, and sentencing details. The Scott County Clerk of Court sits at 563-326-8787 for case questions.
- Booking
- Jail intake and creation of the custody record.
- Initial appearance
- The first court review after booking.
- Bond
- Conditions set for release while a case is pending.
- Disposition
- The court's recorded outcome of a charge.
- Expungement
- A court process that can make an eligible record confidential.
Scott County Trends and Archives
A week of jail roster entries tells you little about arrest trends in Scott County. The roster is a custody snapshot, nothing more. For real numbers, Iowa publishes an Arrest Distribution Report with filters for arrest date, agency, municipality, offense type, and age group. That is the tool for trend work. News coverage fills a different gap. KWQC keeps a rolling crime page, and the North Scott Press archive holds searchable weekly sheriff and Eldridge police reports going back years. Newspapers narrate; they do not log every booking. Still, those clippings can reach arrests that fall outside the short public roster window, so verify any name with the agency before relying on it.
Scott County Custody Boundaries
State custody works differently from a county arrest. The Iowa DOC Find an Offender search covers people in state prison. It also covers people under published supervision. It is not the place to check on a fresh Scott County booking. You can query by name, birthdate range, sex, offender number, location, offense, and committing county. No booking photo appears in the text results. For an agency-held DOC image, file through the DOC open-records process instead.
The Scott County roster leaves out federal prisoners and detainees. Federal custody falls to the BOP Inmate Locator. The locator reaches back to 1982 and searches by name or register number. It looks nothing like a county mugshot page. ICE runs its own detainee locator under strict exact-match rules. A detainer code may appear on the local roster. It proves neither an immigration case nor any ICE contract with the county.
Alerts are a separate matter. IowaVINE covers county jail and state prison notifications only. Registration steps, PIN rules, and limits are laid out on the VINELink Custody Check page.
